Wow! It has been literally YEARS since I've updated this site. I've been studying Education and am now a fully qualified highschool art teacher. One day I would love to be working as a full time art teacher, but untill there is a suitable job available I'll be working as a casual teacher.

I hope very much this year I will have the time and the brain space to get back into my art, I get quite depressed when I'm not making. When I do, I'll keep you posted.

It has been a long time since I have done any up dating to this site so I've decided to give it a total rework.
A lot has been happening sinse the last news entry, 9 months have passed and the year is well and truelly on a wind up.
My work has made an interesting turn to new topics. I've been working with the representation of my childhood imaginary friends through drawing, and I have also been doing some images of a toy bird cage. I'll be taking some photos of these soon, and will add then to the gallery asap.

Well, term one of 2007 is over. It’s been a great start to the year; I’ve been doing some new drawings, which I am very happy with (you can see them in the gallery). I have also joined Wagga’s Hand Spinners and Weavers Guild, and am learning how to spin my own yarn. It’s pretty fun and I hope to use it, incorporated with some bush dying, in some of my sculptural forms (which I haven’t done much work on of late). We had presentation night at TAFE a couple of weeks ago for 2006, I received my Diploma in Fine Arts and I also, surprisingly, won an extra award for Outstanding Academic Achievement! *Blushes*

After much hair pulling and many tantrums I have finally got the site working online... Phew! The Ember exhibition was a great success! The opening night was busy, to say the least. So many people came it was very encouraging. It was a great conclusion to an even greater year. Just because I am now on holiday, doesn't mean I plan on slowing down (too much) I have already begun work on a new 3d form, though not quite as large as the first. As soon as it is done I will be posting photos of it here.

Almost everyone has completed hanging their work for the exhibition that opens next Tuesday, all that is left to do on Monday is to attach labels to works and tidy up the studio. How Exciting!

The year is beggining to wind up at the moment and things sure are getting busy! Tomorrow we will be cleaning the studio at uni out so that we can paint it on Monday to start selecting and hanging work on Tuesday/Wednesday. I can believe that it is almost the end of the year already. Our class exhibition, Ember is just around the corner. Eep!
